The candidate must have experience in interviewing subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather non-technical and technical data and have a strong focus on compliance of concise written text to RFP requirements, as well as incorporating strategic messaging. Coordinates the production of proposal sections and performs final quality control of completed submission. **District Overview** Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers (KIE) is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of our company that offers a variety of services, including, temporary and permanent design services for current projects and new project pursuits in the United States and Canada. Our design services group has offices in Colorado, Nebraska, Washington State, and Toronto, Canada offering expertise in structural, geotechnical, civil, drainage, roadway, and materials disciplines. Our engineering group is responsible for managing engineering assignments in support of Kiewit's construction projects in both the United States and Canada. As part of the engineering group, you will have the opportunity to work with other structural and geotechnical engineers, members of our interdisciplinary engineering team, as well as estimators, schedules and construction experts to provide advice on construction methodology, risk and the design of temporary works. **Location** This position is based out of Burnaby, BC. **Responsibilities** - Works under direction of District Proposal Manager - Analyze and interpret solicitation documents and requirements (RFQ, RFI, RFP) to prepare comprehensive response templates (compliance matrix, proposal outlines, schedule) - Prepare and facilitate proposal kick-off meetings, milestone reviews, and recovery periods - Coordinate all proposal sections to ensure compliance with client's objectives and requirements and consistent with proposing entity's strategy and approach - Participate in strategy and storyboarding sessions to incorporate data into deliverable documents - Solid interviewing skills and works well with technical and non-technical SMEs to gather data and prepare compliant, compelling written proposal content - Lead writer for various non-technical proposal sections (i.e., project descriptions, qualification summaries, CVs, etc.) - Develop, edit, and implement style guides for proposals and other deliverables - Understands and applies proposal methods and tools, consistently implement standard best practice processes - Collaborate with graphics team to conceptualize and integrate graphics to convey proposed solutions within SOQ/proposal responses Assist with maintaining, monitoring and managing proposal database, files, and systems through appropriate information management systems - Support in development and maintaining best practices and templates, data platforms and style guides **Qualifications** - 3+ years of proposal coordination/writing experience in Engineering/Construction or similar industry - Prior exposure to construction management practices - Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Communications, Journalism, English, or equivalent - Advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat - Experience with Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop **Expertise Required** - Exceptional attention to detail, organization and attentive listening skills - Ability to prioritize, balance and successfully complete multiple tasks simultaneously - Effective verbal and written communication skills - within core group and with internal and external clients - Action orientated – ability to take on challenges, effective problem-solving skills to develop issue resolution - Strong editing/writing skills: thorough knowledge of grammar, spelling, and composition as well as writing, editing, oral communication, and interpersonal skills - Self-motivated with ability to work well with professionals from various backgrounds - Ability to deliver quality work in a strict deadline-driven environment - A focus on teamwork – ability to continually listen, collaborate, and communicate among colleagues, internal customers, and team partners *We believe in equal opportunity in employment practices without discrimination, and comply with all laws regarding human rights in the provinces where we operate.* There's no limit to what you'll work on at Kiewit.
