About the job We are seeking an ML Kernel Engineer to join a well-established and funded startup who are developing a ground-breaking at-memory AI chip architecture. Their approach addresses the accuracy and efficiency challenges in running AI inference workloads.

You will join a proven team that will be responsible for building implementations of neural network kernels specialized for a unique at-memory architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Design & implement C++ low-level kernels for neural network operations.
• Design configuration APIs for these kernels and collaborate with compiler team.
• Performance optimization strategy work with compiler and architecture teams.
• Design computation strategy across kernels for multi-chip neural network implementations.

Qualifications:

• MS or PhD? in CS, Mathematics, Physics or related field
• Extensive knowledge of modern C++ in code generation and low-level compute applications.
• Strong knowledge of NN operator algorithms - CNN, RNN, and Transformers.
• Ability to work with high-level conceptual and low-level technical details.
• Good knowledge/experience of hardware development or design.
