Position Purpose:
The Business Operations Analyst will support projects and tactical activities related to the maintenance and continuous improvement of strategic planning processes within the Merchandising Execution Team for the Canadian division. The Business Analyst will be accountable to working alongside other analysts to support the Manager, Workforce Planning and Strategy with the coordination, execution, and sustainability of projects, initiatives, and roll-outs. They will work with cross functional partners to resolve specific business issues and will support field leaders and associates in the development and implementation of key business strategies. This includes executing advanced analysis, process/systems engineering, and change management.
*Position Responsibilities: *
- Develops an effective plan for defining project scope/deliverables, critical path tollgates, task assignment, field communication, and monitors project execution to ensure program compliance
- Collects and documents project issues and manages their timely resolution
- Supports the Sr. Business Operations Analyst in the analysis, process development, risk assessment, and implementation of new initiatives
- Investigates opportunities to develop/integrate technology solutions to drive field productivity and efficiency
- Supports sourcing and procurement of field inputs and tools
- Provides regular commentary/updates to leadership and stakeholders regarding progress, opportunities, risks and emerging trends for the purposes of operational decision making
- Identifies impediments to field execution by soliciting meetings with field associates to gather user feedback
- *Experience/Knowledge Required: *
- Internal Candidates: Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements (M+ Meets Expectations)
- 1-2 years of analytical experience (ideally in a retail environment) with emphasis on process improvement, change management, and data analysis
- University or College Degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Logistics will be considered as a preferred qualification
- P roficient in: Microsoft Office Suite including Access, Excel, PowerPoint?, and Word
- Intermediate knowledge of JIRA, Visio, Alteryx, and/or Tableau are strong assets
- Strong project management and critical thinking skills: Project Management Professional (PMP) and Six Sigma certifications are strong assets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to extrapolate pertinent information from various sources (reports and spreadsheets) and analyze data for recommendations
- Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously with an attention to detail
- Strong relationship builder and has the ability to communicate effectively across different levels of the organization and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently
