What you'll do
- Reporting to the Provincial Manager, Supply Chain Performance, the primary focus of the Data Analyst, Supply Chain Systems is to ensure that all supply chain and related applications are meeting the business needs of the organization, provide statistical performance reporting and application support for ERP Supply Chain modules.
- You will be responsible for systems analysis, design, development; implementation and maintenance of customized and delivered supply chain applications in addition to technical systems support services for Supply Chain staff and clients. The Data Analyst recommends improvement and standardization of business processes and ensures effective utilization of systems.
- You will be responsible for supply chain systems servicing all agencies, including training staff on the functionality of the systems. The Data Analyst works closely with the senior technical staff and leads responsible for the technical functions related to the applications.
- Reviews systems use, identifies needs, and makes recommendations for reallocation or acquisition of systems or equipment to ensure appropriate utilization of computerized and manual systems as well as other departmental/divisional resources.
- Participates in systems development and maintenance of the Supply Chain systems, including taking roles in developing and analyzing key performance indicators, needs identification, requirements definition, creating/ project work plans, and participate in system selection, development, implementation, documentation, interfacing and maintenance within established policies and guidelines in accordance with the Supply Chain strategic plan.
- Provides recommendations for process improvement for the Supply Chain function and works with staff and managers to evaluate alternative procedural and systematic solutions which most effectively meet needs while maintaining acceptable business standards.
- Supports report development based on needs of users including executive as well as agency management staff. Fulfils external reporting requirements as requested..
- Performs data gathering and analysis for the Supply Chain function to facilitate operational activities.
- Maximizes systems functionality, integration and skill sets in user groups by analyzing processes using technological functionality and recommending/leading implementation efforts where appropriate.
- Supports development and recommendation of procedures such as Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards to ensure security, integrity and accuracy of supply chain data.
- Provides ongoing support and enhancement to all supply chain systems through training programs, one-on-one consultation, systems or procedural advice, specific problem resolution and troubleshooting, resolving or escalating system failures. Develops training materials required in providing customer support and user trainings.
- Maintains application tables to keep them current and aligned with organizational needs.
- Creates and maintains Business Resumption Plans and Disaster Recovery Plans.
- Provides software support and maintenance by coordinating the set-up and installation of program with IM/IT.
- Provides systems advice and expertise to areas external to the division having a significant supply chain systems impact.
What you bring
- Graduation from a recognized degree or diploma program in a related field
- Two (2) years recent related experience related to IT, Computer Science and/or Business Applications or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
